Pay Your Utility Bill Online
Important Note: First quarter refuse bills are mailed the first week in January for the current year. The bill is one flat rate every quarter, and residents have the option of paying for the entire year by January 31 or in quarterly installments. The remaining quarterly installments are mailed the beginning of April, July, and October.
Payments must be made within 30 days of the date of the bill, or a 10% penalty will be applied to the account. Checks and money orders made payable to South Whitehall Township may be mailed to or paid in person at 4444 Walbert Ave, Allentown, PA 18104.
Citizen Self Service is a portal that gives residents of South Whitehall Township the ability to pay utility bills by credit card, eCheck, and PayPal. Once you create an account, you can link your Water, Sewer, and Refuse accounts, add bills to your cart, and check out online. You can pay multiple bills at once, up to $500 with a $3.39 fee per transaction for credit card or by PayPal or a $1.73 per transaction for eCheck. You currently may pre-pay for your utility bills through the CSS Payment Portal after adding the bill to the cart and editing the bill payment amount. Additionally, in the portal you can view your utility usage by viewing a digital copy of your bill and opt in to receive your utility bills by email.
Note: There will be a $36 fee assessed for returned payments (including eCheck) that will be added to your bill in the event of insufficient funds or closed/wrong accounts.
