About Swim & Gym: 

The Swim & Gym Program is one of SWT Recreation's longest running programs. We partner with the Parkland School District to give residents access to the High School Pool and Gymnasiums over the winter. This program typically runs from mid-January through March, on Sundays from 1:00pm – 5:00pm. Specific dates are dependent on the High School event schedule, and are announced once we receive them. We hire Lifeguards! We have one remaining lifeguarding position available for 2026. Please see details below.

Swim & Gym Important Information:

• Swim & Gym is open swim and open gym time on select Sundays from 1:00pm- 5:00pm for Parkland School District Residents ONLY.
• Although there is NO pre-registration and NO program fee, participants MUST have an Account in our Online Recreation Portal to verify residency.
  • Click the link above to create an account. Accounts allow you to register for other programs, rent pavilions, and receive updates from SWT Recreation.

  • Inclement Weather: Changes and cancelations are announced here, on social media, and through RecDesk emails.
  • January 25th CANCELLED DUE TO SNOW. 
  • February 8th
  • February 22nd- CANCELLED DUE TO PASD EVENT
  • March- 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th
• IMPORTANT:
  • Participants MUST shower prior to swimming per the Parkland Area School District.
  • Organized group activities are NOT permitted during this time and will be denied access to the pool and gym areas. This program is for recreational family or individual swimming and recreational pick-up basketball or volleyball (when nets are available). 

Lifeguards Positions: 

• We typically hire 4-5 Certified Lifeguards to run our Swim & Gym Program.
• Applicants MUST be at least 16 years old, and MUST have their First Aid, CPR/AED, and Water Rescue Certifications.
