About SWT Tennis Classes: Our recreational tennis classes are typically offered in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Classes are held at the Winchester Heights tennis courts and instructed by long-time instructor Amadou Makhtar Diop! Amadou coaches for several other Townships along with Muhlenberg College, and we look forward to growing our program with him. 2025 Classes we all FULL, and we are excited to keep growing this program with him. 

• Typically Mondays & Wednesdays from 5:30pm- 6:30pm (2 classes/week)
• Class ability levels vary depending on registrants. Generally appropriate for beginner, advanced beginner, and intermediate levels with the older age group.
• For ages 9-14. Students will be separated by age and ability on two courts when numbers allow (ages 6-8, and ages 9-14)
• Location- the Winchester Heights Park Tennis Courts (3765 Pennbrook Way, Allentown, PA 18104)
• Registration will open online over the winter for the 2026 Spring Session.

More About Coach Amadou Makhtar Diop:  

Dr. Diop received a BS. & M.S degrees in Agronomy/Plant Physiology at Kuban Tropical And Subtropical Agricultural Institute, in Krasnodar, USSR, a M.S. degree in Agronomy/soil Science at the University of the Philippines, Los Banos, and a Ph.D. in Crop Science (Class of 89) at Oregon State University in Corvallis. He was relocated from Senegal to Allentown by The Rodale Institute. Dr. Diop retired in December 2008, as Director of International Programs for The Institute. In 2008 Amadou established his Not-For-Profit Community Tennis Association (AMCOTENNIS) with USTA. AMCOTENNIS provides private and group lessons AT PRATER MEMORIAL PARK in Wescosville for Kids and Adults. Coach Amadou is registered to USTA and to PTR (Professional Tennis Registry). Coach Amadou joined the Tennis Coaching Staff for Muhlenberg College in September 2021. Coach Amadou is proficient in English, French, Spanish, Russian, and Wolof (his native Senegalese language).
