The Human Resources department is the center of work and success of the organization and its team members, while maintaining compliance with employment and labor laws and regulations. SWT Hiring Process & Equal Employment Opportunity Utilization Report:
A copy of the South Township’ Equal Employment Opportunity (EEOP) Utilization Report is available to be obtained from the office of the Township Manager upon request of any individuals/entities.
We strive to provide a seamless hiring and onboarding process. Here is what you can expect in each phase:
1. Application Submission
Explore careers under Employment Opportunities on the South Whitehall Township website, Indeed, or LinkedIn to submit your application for a position.
2. Eligibility and Qualification Review
Human Resources and Hiring Managers will review your application to determine your eligibility and qualifications.
3. Interview and Testing
If you are selected to move forward to the next step in the hiring process, Human Resources will contact you to schedule your interview(s). Some specialized career paths may require additional assessments.
If you are not selected to move forward, you will receive a notification informing you of this decision.
4. Conditional Job Offer (CJO)
Selected candidates who successfully complete interviews and any required assessments will receive a Conditional Job Offer for employment with SWT.
Conditional Job Offers are contingent upon passing the Township’s pre-hire testing and required clearances, as determined for each specific position.
5. Final Step
After successfully completing a background investigation, drug and alcohol testing, and all required clearances, candidates selected for employment will be scheduled for orientation and their first day of work.
Dependent upon job category and classification, candidates selected for employment will also receive additional information regarding employment benefits offered by the Township, a review of Township policies, and an onboarding plan.
