Did you know that unintentional falls are the leading cause of death in older Pennsylvanians? Falls are not a normal part of aging, and can be prevented. Lehigh County Aging along with Northampton County Aging is once again sponsoring our county wide fall prevention event Standing Strong. The event is open to everyone in Lehigh and Northampton Counties, in partnership with Cedar Crest College, Moravian University and DeSales University. There will be a 30-minute fall prevention tutorial, as well as fall risk and other screenings, and there will be resources available through Lehigh Valley Health Network, St Luke’s Trauma Network, Allentown Health Bureau, and Bethlehem Health Bureau. Please post this flyer on your community websites, bulletin boards, or in any highly visible area to get the work out about this event. Help us save lives in our communities!
