SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT - SOUTH WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
Due to the significant level of public interest concerning Project Atlas (Major Plan 2025-109), South Whitehall Township wishes to clarify that Project Atlas is not on the agenda and will not be reviewed or discussed by the Planning Commission at its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, August 13, 2026 (7:00 PM).
The following plans are scheduled for review during the August 13, 2026 Planning Commission meeting:
- Iyad Alraei — Minor Plan 2026-202
Request for Preliminary/Final Plan Review for the proposed subdivision of the property at 1839 Mauch Chunk Road into two residential lots.
- Parkland School District Transportation Center — Lot Consolidation, Major Plan 2025-101
Request for Preliminary Plan Review for the proposed consolidation of three parcels associated with Orefield Middle School at 2675 PA Route 309. No physical improvements are proposed as part of this plan at this time.
The Planning Commission meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, in the South Whitehall Township Municipal Building, located at 4444 Walbert Avenue, Allentown, Pennsylvania.
PROJECT ATLAS SPECIAL MEETING OF PLANNING COMMISSION
In recognition of the substantial public interest in Project Atlas, the project is next expected to appear on the agenda of a special meeting of the South Whitehall Township Planning Commission to be held:
