Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of South Whitehall Township will meet in the Township Municipal Building located at 4444 Walbert Avenue, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of conducting a public meeting to discuss the following, and any other business brought before the Board. REQUEST FOR PRELIMINARY/FINAL PLAN REVIEW
An application to further develop the property located at 1879 Applewood Drive & 1915 Applewood Drive, PIN Nos. 546781173891 & 546772519145. The plan proposes to consolidate two (2) lots into one (1) lot as well as install a solar array for the church property, Lot 1, containing 8.5272 acres; Lot 2, containing 3.5687 acres; The electricity produced by the solar array would be solely for the church property's use and will not connect to the public electrical distribution system. An application to further develop properties located at 4434 Orefield Road, 4362 Orefield Road, 2675 PA Route 309 and 2619 Stadium Drive, PINs 547801127956, 547801824720, 547800509889, and
547719272143 . The plan is proposing to consolidate four tracts owned and operated by the School District. The parcel located at 4362 Orefield Road, being approximately 11.1 acres, exists with bus parking and maintenance buildings utilized by the school district. The parcel located at 4434 Orefield Road, being approximately 7.6 acres, exists in an undeveloped condition, previously utilized for mining. The parcel located at 2675 PA Route 309, being approximately 42.6 acres, contains the existing Orefield Middle School and surrounding recreation fields and stadium. The parcel located at 2619 Stadium Drive, being approximately 2.8 acres, contains the recently constructed Operation Center. The parcels associated with the Transportation Center and Orefield Middle School are located within the R-3 Low Density Residential Zoning District. The parcel associated with the Operation Center is located within the RR-2 Rural Residential-2 Zoning District. Three of the parcels are served by water and sewer and the fourth parcel being the vacant lot is not currently served by water or sewer. Parkland School District is the owner. PARKLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT - HIGH SCHOOL EXPANSION MAJOR PLAN 2024-103
REQUEST FOR PRELIMINARY/FINAL REVIEW
An application to further develop a property located at 2700 N. Cedar Crest Blvd. PIN 547893306327. The plan is proposing five (5) building expansions to individual sections of the existing high school consisting of an athletic entrance expansion of 5,385 sf, a cafeteria expansion of 2,753 sf, two (2) classroom expansions of 18,773 sf and 19,782 sf, and a building addition of 572 sf, on the 112.5-acre tract. In addition to the building expansions, the bus loop at the rear of the building will be extended to create eleven (11) bus parking spaces. A new parking lot will be constructed to the southeast of the existing parking lot in front of the school, which will add one hundred eleven (111) new parking spaces to the site, increasing the total of parking spaces from 1,285 to 1,489 parking spaces. The property is served by public water and public sewer and is zoned Rural Residential -2. Parkland School District is the ownerand applicant.

Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board of South Whitehall Township will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. in the South Whitehall Township Municipal Building located at 4444 Walbert Avenue, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, for the following zoning appeals:
ZHB-2024-10: The appeal of Landston Equities, LLC seeking to amend driveway offset distances and an interpretation or special exception as follows: 1) variance relief from Section 350-42(d)(4)(B)(i) to have a 266.5-ft driveway offset (+/-5’) when 300-ft is required along Chapman Rd from the intersection of Chapman Rd and Route 309 to the proposed right-in driveway; 2) variance relief from Section 350-42(d)(4)(B)(i) to have a 156-ft driveway offset (+/-5’) when 300-ft is required along Chapman Rd from the intersection of Chapman Rd and Grammes Rd to the proposed right-in driveway; 3) variance relief from Section 350-42(d)(4)(B)(i) to have a 243-ft driveway offset (+/-5’) when 300-ft is required along Grammes Rd from the intersection of Chapman Rd and Grammes Rd to the proposed full access driveway; 4) variance relief from Section 350-42(d)(4)(C) to have a 78.5-ft driveway offset (+/-5’) when 100-ft is required along Grammes Rd between the proposed full access driveway and the existing driveway; 5) Section 350-48(m)(9), interpretation that a prior Special Exception approval for a Motor Vehicle Service Facility, approved under previous Appeal ZHB-2021-05 should remain valid, or in the alternative re-approval of the Special Exception.

The adjacent parcel owned by Kevin and Donnie Holdings LLC is located at 4727-4749 Grammes Road, Allentown, PIN 547723639109 and zoned HC (Highway Commercial).
The above-referenced properties are in South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, PA. Copies of any plans, applications, and/or supporting documents that were submitted are available for public inspection at the Township Building during normal business hours where they may be examined without charge or obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof (it is recommended that appointments be made in advance). All appellants or their authorized representatives must attend. All objectors and interested parties are invited to attend and will have the opportunity to be heard.
