Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of South Whitehall Township will meet in the Township Municipal Building located at 4444 Walbert Avenue, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, on June 12, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of conducting a public meeting to discuss the following, and any other business brought before the Board. The meeting will also be streamed live through GoToMeeting. Due to the limitations of the facility, public comment may or may not be available for remote viewers. KLINE’S ISLAND SEWER REGIONAL ACT 537 PLAN
The Lehigh County Authority has submitted a draft Kline’s Island Sewer (KISS) Regional Act 537 Plan for the review of the South Whitehall Township Planning Commission. As required by the Pennsylvania Sewage Facilities Act (25 PA Code § 71), the draft Act 537 Plan must be reviewed by municipal planning agencies prior to public notice and municipal adoption. The review period with the South Whitehall Township Planning Commission officially commenced on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, and written comments must be provided on or before Sunday, June 15, 2025. This draft Act 537 Plan will be submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection for review and approval. During this public meeting, the South Whitehall Township Planning Commission will consider official action to submit written comments to the Lehigh County Authority and its designated consultant(s), as applicable, concerning the draft Act 537 Plan.
All properties are located in South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Copies of plans, applications and supporting documents are available for public inspection upon request.
