South Whitehall Township Parks Department
South Whitehall Township provides our residents with year-round opportunities for leisure and recreational activities. We have 227 acres of parkland at twenty-two locations throughout the Township. These parks may range anywhere in size from a half-acre neighborhood playground to over 165 acres at Covered Bridge Park, our community park. There are numerous playgrounds, athletic fields, court games, picnic facilities, and open space within our park system for all to enjoy. In addition, our recreation department conducts programs through out the year for young and old alike. South Whitehall Township Recreation Department
The South Whitehall Township Recreation Programs are run by the Part-Time Recreation Director William T. Derricott. Being a part-time Director, Bill spends much of his time visiting the parks and overseeing the operation of the programs. He does not keep routine office hours, however he does maintain an office at the Township Building.
